File sharing is the act of transferring files from one computer to another through a local network or the internet. P2P or peer to peer file sharing is when you use software to download files on the internet where it connects you to other users using P2P software and downloads the files from the combination of other users essentially creating a small network between other users to upload/download a file/s. Some common examples of P2P software are downloading movies or shows on Piratebay/1337x using software like Utorrent/Bittorrent.
